Whizzer Motorbikes
Whizzer motorbikes were popular in the 40's and 50's and were originally an engine kit that was installed on a regular bicycle. Although engine kits are still available, the latest of the Whizzer was re-introduced in the late 90's and is a heavy duty, modern bike with front suspension forks, complete with all street-legal lighting, turn-signals and horn, yet retaining that great nostalgic look of yesterday. The engine is a 138cc 4-cycle that can attain speeds up to 35 MPH, and get up to 120 MPG! These single speed units require no shifting, and are the next easiest thing to riding a bicycle. Although classified as a motorcycle in Ohio, they can be legally operated by anyone at least 15 1/2 years old with a motorcycle permit or license. Perfect for the beginner, or anyone who enjoys nostalgia and life at a slower pace.
